I graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1973 with a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering. My employment with IBM started in 1973 until I retired in 2007. In the later part of my IBM career I designed websites using HTML and Perl to help control and administer a large computer complex.
I currently specialize in the design and setup of websites using Content Management Systems such as Drupal. Additionally, I code custom modules for these systems using PHP.
Originally, I was a high school physics, chemistry, and physical science teacher, who incorporated computer use into all my classes. I also taught teachers how to effectively use technology in the science classroom. In the mid-90’s I became actively involved in LabNet, which was a dynamic online community of math and science teachers. I designed my first website to showcase some of our class projects and in order to share results of my students’ projects and online competitions.
Once we moved to Nevada, I decided to pursue my creative side. I am now doing website design and other small graphics projects through Case Connections LLC. In addition, I am now very active in our community’s Computer Club.
